MV Loch Seaforth Passing Arnish Lighthouse

Here we have the magnificent new MV Loch Seaforth, the flagship ofthe Cal-Mac fleet.  The new ferry for the stormy Minch crossing, she has been well designed to cope with the often tumultuous buffeting waters of the Minch and copes well with it.  She was named after the much-loved ferry Loch Seaforth which served Lewis in the 1950s and 1960s.  This ferry plied a trail between Stornoway and Kyle of Lochalsh whereas the present day Loch Seaforth serves Stornoway and Ullapool.
