Winter Light, Breasclete In this, the upper part of Breasclete, the single tack road winds its way through a warren of old and new croft houses scattered nicely beside each other. In this painting I wanted to capture a village in a moment of time in the present. The rusty old abandoned quad bike was as important as the telegraph poles and modern bungalows. Real people live here. It is not a village that presents a show for tourists or visitors. Where does the the winding road lead? The white boat lies at rest outside the croft house, its owner looking forward to lazy days of Summer fishing. ask about buying: a print view: map location | nearby pictures |
