The Western side of Lewis in the Winter months is an exciting time for followers of waves.  Whilst this wave wasnʼt maybe the biggest of the season its colour and beauty were magnificent to behold.  It was captivating enough for me as an artist to record on canvas for posterity.  Upper Shader is a small costal village on the West of Lewis once home to the famous singing Macdonald sisters in the 1960s.  Its coastline is very exposed and rugged during the stormier months of the calendar.
